Belarusian migrants in Latvia: expert explains purpose of another provocation

Belarus

Political expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Oleksandr Musienko said that the penetration of people in masks from Belarus into Latvia is another example of destabilization and a direct military invasion, Politeka reports.

He said this in his blog. According to the expert, 20 migrants illegally entered from the Belarusian side, stole a video surveillance camera on the border and fled, with them were people with weapons who threatened Latvian servicemen.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Latvia, he notes, stated that this provocation, unlike the previous ones, was particularly demonstrative and aggressive. “Armed people in masks from the territory of Belarus is a military invasion of Latvia, an act of aggression. These people damaged the switchboard, stole the cameras, and then returned to Belarus before the border guards arrived,” says Oleksandr Musienko.

This, the expert explains, is a border check, the purpose of such a hybrid provocation is to shake up NATO, shake up the unity of the European Union, strengthen domestic political and anti-war sentiments in European countries, and show them what to expect.

“Well, why does Russia need a strong and militarized Europe? Then it will have to fight against them, and lose this war. Therefore, it is necessary to take Europe through internal division, through contradictions, through passions that arise, through disagreements and through its own sabotage terrorist acts, which is what the Kremlin is doing by waging this war. Therefore, this must be counteracted,” explains Oleksandr Musienko.
