Who won Eurovision 2025: the name and performance of the winner

The victory in the Eurovision 2025 final, which took place on May 17 in Basel, Switzerland, was won by Austria: singer JJ with the song Wasted Love with elements of academic singing.

The second place went to Yuval Rafael, a singer from Israel, who performed the song New Day Will Rise, which symbolizes healing and rebirth.

Ukraine took ninth place this year with 218 points: 60 points were given by the judges and 158 by the audience.

The best live performance was determined by taking into account the opinion of the professional jury, as well as the audience vote.

Ukraine was represented at the contest by the band Ziferblat, who won the national selection for Eurovision 2025 with the song Bird of Pray in the style of disco-funk and hippie of the 60s and 70s.

The winner of Eurovision 2025, Johannes Piech, who represented Austria at this song contest with the song "Wasted Love", is Filipino by nationality.

Johannes Piech, also known by the pseudonym JJ, was born on April 29, 2001 in Vienna. The singer's father is an Austrian IT specialist, and his mother is a Filipino cook. Piech grew up in Dubai, and in 2016 he returned to Vienna with his parents.

At the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, JJ represented Austria with the song "Wasted Love", which reflects the intensity of emotions of unrequited love.
The singer's work is described as a combination of classical roots with a modern artistic vision.
