The US is giving up its positions: the expert said that Ukraine and Europe need to act decisively to achieve peace

Donald Trump

Political expert and military officer Oleksandr Musienko said that Ukraine should take an example from Israel and defend its national interests, despite Trump's statements, as the US is giving up its positions, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this in his blog.

According to the expert, there have been reports in the Western media that Israel, realizing that the US position is now very uncertain, is preparing strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. And this, he emphasizes, even despite the fact that the US is negotiating with Iran to abandon uranium enrichment for the creation of nuclear weapons in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.

"Here, please. That is, Israel is ready to resort even to such a thing. If they do this, it will be another step in Israeli policy, which will go against the US, but it will be aimed at protecting national interests. This, by the way, is also a signpost for us. We have connections, we have partner support, this is important for us, but when it comes to protecting our national interests, drones should fly en masse over Russian military facilities,” explains Oleksandr Musienko.

It is this policy, the expert emphasizes, that is the key to Ukraine’s survival against the backdrop of protracted peace talks and such an uncertain position of the US, which, of course, can change, but still. Therefore, he states, it is necessary to develop cooperation with Europe in the defense sector in order to together force Russia to agree to a ceasefire, although it is necessary to understand that this may take a very long time.
“We need to put pressure on the US position in a good way. If there are no sanctions, then we will act as we consider necessary. We will act like Israel in some situations and protect our national interests. And it is important that Europe is with us,” concludes Oleksandr Musienko.
