Political analyst reveals who won and lost the most from Trump's call to Putin

Trump

Political analyst Konstantin Matvienko explained that after his conversation with Putin, Trump did not say anything about a truce, so we can only hope that the US will continue to help Ukraine, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this in the program "Personality with Sergey Doyko".

"For Putin, all the pluses, for Trump, mostly minuses, for Ukraine, all the minuses. Trump showed his voters that he is talking to such a person. We see that Trump is running in front of dictators in Saudi Arabia, in the Russian Federation. He didn't quite succeed with Xi Jinping, but remember how he met with Kim Jong-un (ed. - met) during his previous term. That is, Trump is interested in these people. He is interested in their values. These are the people who stand on anti-humanist positions to some extent, if we talk about Putin or Kim Jong-un, on anti-human positions, but Trump needs it. That is, he is proud, like that cat in the mud, of the fact of the conversation (ed. - with Putin)”, - explains Konstantin Matvienko.

The most important thing for Ukraine in this whole situation, states the guest of the program, is that the US does not stop the military and financial assistance. In his opinion, there is every reason to hope that the assistance from the US will be maintained, but what kind of chip will fall under Trump's mantle, it is difficult for us to imagine.

On the occasion, the expert reminds that it was Trump himself who came up with the initiative for an unconditional 30-day truce, for the establishment of a ceasefire, and following the results of the conversation with Putin, he neither wrote nor said about it.

"Therefore, in my opinion, if in the overall balance, then the conversation has much more minuses than pluses for Ukraine, for the EU, for humanity in general, for the United States. Not for Trump, but for the United States, for their reputation, for their dignity," - concludes Kostyantyn Matvienko.
