Expert explains why Russia is refusing a ceasefire: “They want to fight until at least mid-autumn”

war

Political expert and military officer Alexander Musienko explained that Russia is no longer hiding its true intentions and openly rejects the idea of a ceasefire in order to continue the war, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this in his blog.

According to the expert, after negotiations with his Armenian counterpart Mirzoyan, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov spoke to journalists and stated that there would be no “truce, and then we’ll see” in the peace process with Ukraine. That is, he states, Russia has rejected a 30-day ceasefire as the first stage of the negotiation process.

“Not only Putin, but also Lavrov is sending Trump along the course of the Russian ship and even further. Well, if Trump allows this to happen, if the modern US administration allows itself to be treated like this, what can we say here? Perhaps they deserve it then,” emphasizes Oleksandr Musienko.

After all, the expert reminds, the ceasefire regime for 30 days was a US proposal, so that after that they could move forward in the negotiation process according to the next steps. But it is no longer Putin who is somehow veiled, he states, and Lavrov is completely undiplomatically rejecting this initiative of the West.

“But Lavrov’s position is clear – they have been exposed. Once again they have exposed their lies, once again they confirm that they seek to fight at least until mid-autumn, to conduct a summer-autumn campaign, as far as autumn will allow for active hostilities, but there is no fact there. That is, Russia, once again, will combine the issue of the ceasefire with the rest of the issues – demilitarization, denazification, neutral status, the status of language, churches, etc. This is already obvious, they are no longer hiding it. "Before, they lied, manipulated, hid their true intentions, but now they have even rejected that and are starting to speak openly," explains Oleksandr Musienko.
