Political strategist explained why Qatar gave Trump a plane: military secrets, influence or vanity

Donald Trump

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman said that Putin gave Trump only a painting, it’s good that he didn’t guess the plane, like Qatar, because in Israel they already suspect that this is a sign of foreign influence, Politeka reports.

He wrote about this in his blog.

“Trump’s plane has become a new meme. It is gradually gaining momentum in the bad sense of the word, becoming a worldwide meme. I somehow didn’t talk much about this news, didn’t attach any importance to it, missed it, and in vain, as if yeast was thrown into it, and it all grows, grows and grows,” notes Mikhail Sheitelman.

As he recalls, Trump was apparently not very happy with his Air Force One, so the Qataris got busy and gave him a Boeing for 400 million dollars from the heart. Trump, the expert continues, of course, did not want to refuse, but American law prohibits the US president from accepting such expensive gifts, so they decided to say that it was a gift to the Armed Forces.

Nevertheless, he says, scandals began in the US, the Democrats said that, therefore, a foreign state was giving Trump an airplane, and he would fly on it and tell the main military secrets. According to the expert, this would be the same as if Russia gave the president of Ukraine an airplane now. And the second concern, he adds, is, of course, foreign influence, for example, Israel is not too happy that Trump is accepting an airplane from their outright enemy - Qatar.

"We are still lucky that the Russians are so stupid. Putin did not figure out what to give Trump. What did he give Trump? A painting by Safronov, on which Trump himself is depicted. What did Trump do at that moment? Naturally, he asked how much it would be if converted into cash, that is, sent it to some Washington museum. He says: "Evaluate the painting. How much would it cost if we were to sell it?" They tell him: "A clean canvas of this size costs about $200, but it got dirty, so it's already $100, but you can get it for the price of firewood." I think Trump was offended. But what if Putin had thought to give him a plane? Before the Qataris, he doesn't need a second one now. Wasn't there $400 million? It's good that they're stupid after all," concludes Mikhail Sheitelman.
