The war is over, but the parties are fighting for peace terms: expert opinion

war in Ukraine

Military expert Oleg Starikov explained that the US could give Ukraine a technical advantage, but they want peace, so it remains to end the war on favorable terms, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his channel.

"The political component is over, now they are deciding how to end the military component, this is the formula. Now the fighting continues with the aim of ensuring the best conditions for peace, in order to establish the best and most acceptable peace for both sides. And then such a struggle for peace will begin that no stone will be left unturned," Oleg Starikov notes.

As he says, according to the Osipov-Lanchester quadratic law, in order to win with the same army size, weapons are needed that are four times more effective than the enemy's, otherwise - a draw. And in order to win with an army twice as large, the expert continues, weapons must be 9 times more effective than the enemy's.

Therefore, he argues, all these statements by Western politicians that the Russian-Ukrainian war can only be ended diplomatically, not militarily, are an intelligence signal that indicates that the time has come to end the war, and absolutely everyone wants to achieve this, just in different ways.

“Are there weapons in such quantities anywhere? Only in two countries. In the United States of America and in the People's Republic of China. Now the United States of America has declared that the war must be ended, the bloody fighting must be ended. So, they will not give us the necessary amount of weapons of the necessary efficiency. What will they give us? Only for defense. Our strategic and decisive partners are looking for Patriot,” Oleg Starikov concludes.
