Victory is not joining NATO and the EU, but defeating the enemy on the battlefield: expert opinion

Political strategist Serhiy Gaidai assessed whether Ukraine has enough resources, patience and fortitude to withstand ongoing Russian aggression, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on the 7 Krokiv channel.

“The question is certainly one of the most pressing, the answer to it is complex. In my opinion, it should be enough. Or rather, everything necessary is there to have enough resources, patience, and to end this war with a victorious result for us,” notes Serhiy Gaidai.

Nevertheless, he emphasizes, firstly, we must stop considering victory as Ukraine’s accession to NATO or the EU, but not because Putin demands it, but because it is not relevant. Secondly, the expert claims, we must stop believing that Putin will die, Russia will fall apart, and then there will be victory.

"For me, ending the war victoriously means defeating the enemy on the front line, making his presence in the occupied territories simply impossible. That is, when any Russian occupier understands that, being on Ukrainian territory, he will die with a 100% guarantee, bringing equipment here, it will be burned here, if he organizes anything here related to the occupation authorities, this is a terrible threat, and the only way to save yourself and save your life is to go to Russian territory beyond the 1991 borders," explains Sergei Gaidai. And all this, the expert emphasizes, should be understood first of all by our military-political leadership, this should be discussed at Bankova, in the General Staff. Therefore, he states, Ukraine has the opportunity to win, it is only necessary to use this opportunity correctly.
