"Russia suffered a defeat": Colonel assessed the scale of the consequences of Operation "Web"

Reserve Colonel Sergei Grabsky explained that Operation "Web" became possible due, in particular, to the fact that the Russians once again underestimated the capabilities of the Ukrainians, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this in Valery Savchuk's authorial program "Different People".

"What Russia experienced over the weekend is no more, no less than the strategic catastrophe of Hiroshima. Some commentators for some reason mistakenly call it Pearl Harbor, but this is not Pearl Harbor. There is no need to make scoundrels and scumbags victims of a surprise attack. Moreover, a country that has been at war for 11 years could have been better prepared. Nevertheless, this is not Pearl Harbor, this is Hiroshima, as a result of which Russia suffered a defeat," Sergei Grabsky emphasizes.

In Russia, for some reason, he notes, they call Operation Spider's Web a terrorist attack, saying that it is part of nuclear security. But this is not so, the colonel states, because the planes that deliver missiles to peaceful targets in Ukraine are our legitimate military target, and destroying a strike vehicle is not terrorism.

"And the fact that they (ed. - the planes) were in open areas is the Russians' difficulty. The Russians, as always, underestimate the specifics of the war with Ukraine. Russia has won wars only when Ukrainians were at the helm of the Russian army. And the fact that the Russians could not even imagine that a strike could be carried out on objects at a huge distance from the front line is their difficulty," asserts Sergei Grabsky.
Moreover, the guest of the program emphasizes, according to international definitions, terrorism is an action by non-state groups against the population, government bodies of a country. Ukraine, he notes, is a state recognized by the UN, and it used conventional methods of warfare, so our strikes are absolutely legal; they do not require any additional confirmation or permission to carry out attacks.
