Military expert talks about the stages of ending the war: "Political negotiations are already underway"

Military expert Oleg Starikov explained that the political decision to end the war has already been made, but many issues still need to be resolved in order to finally end it, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his channel.

"War is more politics than combat. That is, war is a continuation of politics. In my personal opinion, which is based on knowledge, the laws of war, the laws of the universe by which the world lives and we exist, the war is over. The Russian-Ukrainian war is over," Oleg Starikov asserts.

The expert also notes that "ended" and "ended" are seemingly synonyms, but in fact, words with completely different meanings. As he explains, wars end in three cases: the first is when the parties run out of resources, the second is when there is a political solution, the third is when during a general battle one opponent defeats the other, that is, wins and triumphs.

"What do we see now? We see that President Trump, given his power, weight and the fact that he was a mediator until recently, forced two irreconcilable opponents - the Russian Federation and Ukraine - to sit at the negotiating table. That is, these are already political negotiations. The second round has already passed, and the third round will soon be, they said in June. So, the war is over," explained Oleg Starikov. That is, he states, a decision has already been made to end the war by political and diplomatic means, and the end of the war is either the signing of a peace agreement or freezing the conflict. And we are moving towards this, the expert asserts, since neither side has the resources, strength and means to break through the front, even the movement of Russians in the Sumy region, the approach to the Dnepropetrovsk region - this is a tactical level that does not affect the strategic decision in the war.
