Expert explains why Trump keeps giving Putin two weeks and ignores the horrific shelling of Ukraine

Trump

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Trump's attention is currently fully focused on the Middle East, which is why there is no reaction to yet another Russian missile strike on Ukraine, nor any increase in air defense supplies, Politeka reports.

He discussed this in his blog.

According to the expert, a lot is currently being done to improve the effectiveness of intercepting Shaheds and missiles. For that, air defense systems—especially Patriot systems for ballistic threats—are crucial. However, Musiienko notes, there is still no clarity regarding new deliveries, and Trump is in no hurry.

“I don’t think the U.S. President will react at all to today’s attack on the Ukrainian capital. Unfortunately, we need to get used to the decreasing attention Trump is paying to us. His entire focus is now on the Middle East and Israel’s war with Iran. Especially when you listen to his rhetoric—it sounds like he’s already defeated all the bad guys and is now expecting a Nobel Peace Prize in 2026. That’s all he seems to care about,” Musiienko emphasizes.

He also reminded that just last week, there was another horrific terrorist genocide-style attack on Kyiv. Russia destroyed an entire entrance of a residential building, killing over 20 people, injuring and traumatizing many others, with widespread destruction, fires, and explosions in several districts of the capital. Trump's only comment? “I haven’t heard about that.” As the expert notes, Trump didn’t even criticize Putin—he could’ve at least posted something in Truth Social, where he usually writes excessively.

“So, there will be no reaction to this attack either. I didn’t want to say it until now, but it feels like when Trump keeps giving Putin time—another two weeks, then two more—he’s allowing Russia more room to attack Ukraine, to try to break our resistance, our national will to fight, and to demoralize Ukrainian society,” Musiienko concludes.
