Axis of Evil Unites: Expert Explains How China Is Using Russia and Other Allies

China

Political expert and military serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko assessed whether a split among the countries of the so-called Axis of Evil is possible due to events in the Middle East, and explained China’s main objective, according to Politeka.
He shared his views in his blog.

“Authoritarian regimes have always stood against America and the global system it represents. It's not so much about listening to Trump himself, but rather the course the United States chooses. And there is resistance to that course — Iran, Russia, North Korea, and China. These are competitors who want to challenge the current order. And of course, they are uniting. But things aren't that simple between them, because they have both common interests and fundamental differences,” Musiienko stated.

The expert noted that the history of Chinese-Russian relations is far from smooth — they’ve had many issues. In particular, he reminded that the Russian Empire once seized part of China's territory — today’s Vladivostok and other lands in the Far East — and there were other incidents, such as in Manchuria.

“China also has its own interests. It is using Russia as infantry against Europe. But of course, China is currently experiencing a setback because Israel is attacking Iran — and these attacks have been quite successful. However, Iran is also retaliating against Israel, and Israel is missing some of those strikes — which is also worth noting,” Musiienko explained.

Nevertheless, the expert concluded, these Axis of Evil countries will continue to unite and try to act together as long as it serves China’s interests. Eventually, he claims, China plans to subjugate all of them into its own vast empire — although in such a scenario, disagreements are likely, including the possibility of regional conflicts and beyond.
