Russian Offensive Will Last Until Mid-Autumn: Expert Assesses Whether the Enemy Will Capture 4 Regions

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Russia will continue its offensive at least until mid-autumn, while simultaneously terrorizing Ukraine with missiles and Shahed drones, Politeka reports.
He shared this information in his blog.

“The American outlet Axios, which indeed has rather well-informed sources and, as practice shows, rarely makes mistakes, reports that as early as July 3, Trump was informed that Putin plans to continue the offensive and fully capture four regions within 60 days – Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. However, as noted by the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, there are doubts that Russia will be able to capture the entire Donetsk region by the end of the year,” said Oleksandr Musiienko.

However, he states, the Russians do have such plans, and their offensive will likely continue at least until mid-October, if not longer. That is, the expert explains, the Russians will throw all their forces and resources into fully capturing at least Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of the year.

On the other hand, he reflects, it seems that Putin is increasingly relying not so much on the front line, but rather on air terror – strikes on civilian targets and infrastructure. Though, the expert adds, of course, the Kremlin hopes that at some point the Ukrainian Armed Forces will become exhausted, allowing Russian troops to break through Ukraine’s defenses on some part of the front.

“Additionally, in the near future, Russian forces will focus on making at least a symbolic incursion into Dnipropetrovsk region in order to try to demoralize us, instill fear, and spread panic. This may also have a practical element – the enemy aims to expand the grey zone to create obstacles and problems for logistical support of our forces in Donetsk region, near Pokrovsk. And also to expand the zone of terror. But overall, Putin is placing more hope in terror – in increasing the number of ballistic strikes, drone attacks, and causing maximum destruction,” Musiienko concludes.
