September 2 Crossroads: Expert Says It Will Be Either Yalta 2.0 or Continued War

Donald Trump

Military expert Oleg Starikov explained that September 2 could present a chance for peace if Trump joins Xi Jinping and Putin in China for a military parade and they reach an agreement, according to Politeka.
He spoke about this on his channel.

According to the expert, the Russia-Ukraine war is already over, but not yet concluded. However, there is a chance that everything could change on September 2. He reminds us that September 2 marks the end of World War II, and on this day, Xi invited Putin to a military parade in China. If Trump also attends, then that could be an opportunity. The expert claims that this is a real possibility, since Trump is the president of a country that was also victorious in World War II and was the main player on the Pacific front, at sea, while the USSR and China fought on land.

“So we’ll see on September 2 what happens. Maybe it will be friendship — meaning a ‘Yalta 2.0.’ But I’m just talking about possible scenarios — this is one of them,” notes Oleg Starikov.

As the expert explains, the current summer offensive by Russian forces will transition into a winter military campaign in 2026 if nothing happens on September 2–3. In that case, he states, the war will continue — and that, too, is one of the possible scenarios.

“As an analyst, I’m presenting versions. Whether they come true or not — we’ll see. On one hand, it's easy to analyze a war; on the other, fighting is hard and often unclear. In war, anything can happen — this way, that way, or completely unexpectedly. You plan for one thing and end up facing something totally different,” concludes Oleg Starikov.
