Russia is Half Devoted to Juche Ideas, Half to Islamic Fundamentalism: Expert on Russia’s Allies

Putin

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that while Russia’s allies in past wars were the army and the navy, today there’s little left of them. Now, according to him, Russia’s allies are Juche and Islamic fundamentalism, as reported by Politeka.

He spoke about this in his blog.

According to the expert, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that for the first time in history, Russia is waging war completely alone. During both World War I and World War II, it had allies—but now, it does not.

“Before, at least some Alexander II would say, ‘Russia has two allies – the army and the navy.’ And Lavrov admitted that those two are definitely gone. The navy is already at the bottom of the Black Sea, and the remaining parts of it had to be hidden even on the Russian Navy Day. And the army is rotting near Sumy, where our forces are finishing off the encircled units. Of course, not everything is that easy, not everywhere is going that well, not on all fronts, but there, we are definitely finishing off that army. So Lavrov admits: ‘For the first time, Russia has no allies.’ That is, Russia is alone against the whole world,” Sheitelman commented.

Meanwhile, the expert says, Peskov was asked what role Russia assigns to North Korea and Iran. In response, he continues, Putin’s press secretary stated that these are countries with which Moscow shares a vision of the foundations of world order—meaning, apparently, the ideology of Juche and Islamic fundamentalism.

“Moscow shares a vision of the foundations of world order with North Korea and Iran. But North Korea’s world order is the Juche ideology and the supremacy of the Kim family, while Iran is an Islamic republic where the ideas of Islamic fundamentalism reign. Russia is half devoted to the ideas of Juche, and half to Islamic fundamentalism. Russia has two allies, Peskov is hinting—Islamic fundamentalism and Juche,” Mikhail Sheitelman concludes.
