Economic War: Expert Assesses Whether the U.S. Can Destroy Russia and Its Allies

Trump

Military expert Oleg Starikov explained that the growing closeness between Russia and China is a worrying sign, and the U.S. trade war against them won’t necessarily lead to victory, Politeka reports.

He discussed this on his own channel.

As the expert reminds, on September 2–3, Putin and Xi Jinping will meet in China — and possibly Trump might join them as well. In his view, this is a very significant moment, one that should be considered in the context of the Kissinger doctrine: there are three centers of power, and the goal of two is to oppose the third.

“In the end, China and the U.S. brought about the collapse of the Soviet Union. But now, China and Russia have become strategic partners. They’re not formal allies, but their partnership is very strong — and the Chinese have made it clear that they won’t let Russia lose,” Starikov emphasizes.

As the expert explains, China and Russia share one of the longest borders in the world, so Beijing will provide its strategic partner with everything it needs and won’t allow it to lose the war. As for the economic war against Russia and its allies — those who buy Russian oil — he notes that victory in such a confrontation is simply impossible; this has long been proven by both science and history.

“Trump says: ‘I’ll impose tariffs.’ Then he says: ‘I understand this won’t achieve anything, but I’ll impose tariffs anyway.’ What else can he do? Something has to be done. So now they’re going to be thinking about what to do. But without compromise, this can’t be resolved. Russia has to make compromises — but the U.S. does too,” Oleg Starikov asserts.
