“Ukraine is not only asking but also producing”: Expert talks about new Ukrainian missile

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko explained that the new Ukrainian missile “Flamingo,” with a range of 3,000 km, is a serious card for Ukraine in the war against Russia and a future guarantee of national security, according to Politeka.

He spoke about this in his blog.

"It was no coincidence that there was a demonstration and release of photos and videos of the Ukrainian-developed ‘Flamingo’ missile, capable of flying up to 3,000 kilometers. This strengthens our position at the negotiating table — these are our strategic cards," said Oleksandr Musiienko.

According to the expert, the Russians have reason to panic, because this situation exposes the lies of the Russian military and their ministries. As he reminds us, the Kremlin claimed that it had already “destroyed” all of Ukraine’s defense industry — especially the part capable of producing missiles and drones — yet somehow, Ukraine is still producing. And not just something minor, but a missile with a range of 3,000 kilometers, capable of covering a vast portion of Russian territory.

"This is our non-nuclear deterrent shield, our cards, and our first real guarantee of security. It demonstrates our capabilities to our partners. And when we talk about security guarantees, Ukraine is not only asking — it is also producing. And let’s produce together," Musiienko emphasized.

He also noted that there is currently an active discussion in the West about security guarantees, and Ukraine is already showing what these guarantees can and should look like — particularly in terms of joint weapons production. Moreover, he adds, European countries do not possess missiles with a 3,000-kilometer range and, when it comes to ballistic capabilities, they mostly rely on the United States. But the U.S., the expert warns, may shift toward isolationism — and if that happens, Europe will have no one to rely on to counter the threat from the East, except Ukraine. That’s why it would be logical to get involved and co-produce weapons.
