“Otherwise Russia will be at the gates of Warsaw” – expert says it’s time for Poland and Ukraine to unite

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko explained that the Russian drone attack on Poland is a signal that we need to forget about disagreements and unite against the common enemy, Politeka reports.
He shared this in his blog.

As the expert reminds, Russian officials and propagandists have repeatedly spoken about which countries Russia should attack and which supposedly want to attack Russia — therefore, they should be struck first. He recalls Medvedev’s threats toward Finland, General Kartapolov’s words about the need to march on Poland, and so on. And now, the expert states, Russian drones have entered Polish territory, so the future of Poland and its neighbors depends on the response.

“Today Poland, just as under King Jan Sobieski it defended Vienna, must in particular defend Ukraine, must defend the Baltic states. It must demonstrate strength and defend NATO’s eastern flank. This is simply necessary. It is inevitable. Otherwise Russia will be under Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, and even Poznań. And no one will escape this,” Oleksandr Musiienko emphasizes.

Therefore, the expert notes, the Polish government should understand that now is not the time to talk about cutting funding for Ukraine’s Starlink or suspending assistance to Ukrainian refugees. Moreover, he adds, these very Ukrainian refugees make a huge contribution to the Polish economy, paying taxes and filling Poland’s budget with money.

“This is not the time — all of that must be set aside, including historical grievances, in order to unite against Russia. We have one big, powerful, aggressive enemy that seeks the destruction of Ukraine as a state, and aims to occupy and devastate Poland. This is Russia’s sole aspiration, and it must be stopped, uniting with the Baltic states and Northern Europe as well,” Oleksandr Musiienko concludes.
