There May Be a Collusion Between Russia and the US – Expert on Changes in American Politics

Donald Trump, Putin

Political expert and military serviceman Oleksandr Musiyenko stated that Putin is manipulating the situation and doing everything possible to divide the West and turn Trump against Ukraine, Politeka reports.

He shared his thoughts in his blog.

As the expert points out, many view the United States not just as the leader of the free world, but as the successor and heir to the Roman Empire and its ideals. He emphasizes that the American system is based on Roman law and governance, and Washington, D.C. even has Capitol Hill — all a retrospective of Rome.

"But what is happening in the U.S. now more closely resembles Rome during its decline and fall from power. The foreign policy that the U.S. is currently conducting increasingly reminds one of that era. I say this with great regret and hope that it will change. Personally, I want the U.S. to remain the leader of global democracy, not engage in talks with Russia about fighting 'Eurofascism.' Putin is pulling the strings. He senses the tension, watches what Trump says and does, and tries to exploit it. In fact, we can now observe, unfortunately, the possibility of a collusion between Russia and the United States," Musiyenko explains.

He also notes that Russian propagandists have gone silent — they no longer speak of the West's corrupting influence or a decaying America. Instead, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service published an article on its website claiming that Russia and the U.S. should unite to fight "Eurofascism," as they allegedly did during World War II.

"But Ukraine continues to fight. Europe stands with Ukraine. Nothing will come easily, and the Kremlin comrades shouldn’t get too comfortable. We will fight and defend our country. The Ukrainian army will grow stronger, Ukraine will increase its weapons production, cooperate with Europe, and repel Russian attacks, regardless of any collusion or intrigue," Oleksandr Musiyenko concludes.
