A Nuclear Shield for Poland: Expert Assesses the Level of Escalation After Russian Shaheds

Poland

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that after the Shahed drone attacks, Poland has finally taken action — it reached an agreement with Ukraine on cooperation and is set to develop its nuclear capabilities, according to Politeka.
He shared this in his blog.

As the expert notes, Ukrainians and Poles are friends and even brothers — no matter what happens between us or what kind of black cats the Kremlin tries to throw in our way — and now we will cooperate in repelling Russian aggression. According to him, Polish Defense Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz and his Ukrainian counterpart Shmyhal agreed to create a joint task force to combat drones. It appears that Ukraine will provide Poland with access to drone tracking systems.

"Do you understand what's happening here? I can even imagine how it went down. Shmyhal takes the phone from Kosiniak-Kamysz and says, 'Do you have Telegram? Join the Telegram channel "Mykolaiv Vanek" — now you'll know when a drone is flying your way.' Before, they just didn’t know and scrambled their jets however they could. But now, just read 'Mykolaiv Vanek' — everything's written there," Sheitelman commented.

In addition, he notes, there's more good news: President Nawrocki (Navrotsky) stated that Poland intends to become a nuclear power — in various meanings of the word. This, the expert says, would be a good precedent for Ukraine too — perhaps we would follow suit. But first and foremost, Poland wants France to share peaceful nuclear technologies, meaning nuclear power plants.

"But the President of Poland didn’t stop there. He said: 'We want to acquire a nuclear shield.' And Macron promised them this shield, saying that France’s nuclear weapons would become a shield for all of Europe. I think that after signing the document allowing NATO troops to be stationed on Polish territory... Well, who said they have to be there without nuclear missiles? I think it’s entirely possible they’ll be there with nuclear missiles. Are only the Russians allowed to escalate? No — not just the Russians," Sheitelman emphasized.
