Ukraine’s Offensive, Pressure on Putin, or a Cunning Plan: Expert Explains Why Trump Started Praising Ukraine

Trump

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that everyone is looking for a positive explanation for Trump’s sudden change of stance on Ukraine, but in reality, it could be a negative one — they might be trying to deceive us, Politeka reports.

He shared this in his blog.

“So, people are trying to explain the fact that Trump suddenly made such a flip, changed his shoes in mid-air, and started saying that not only should all territories captured by the Russians be liberated, but we should go even further. To liberate the entire Black Sea coast from the Russians — Anapa and other cities they still hold on the Black Sea. Well, that's my fantasy. Kuban. What else could he have meant by 'go further'? Hardly Moscow. I think he meant Kuban — that Kuban should go to Ukraine as reparations after the war. Trump can do math — he knows Russia won’t have enough money to pay reparations,” Sheitelman speculates.

Every media outlet, he notes, offers its own interpretation of Trump’s position shift. According to the expert, The Wall Street Journal writes that Trump was convinced Russia had achieved almost nothing on the battlefield, and he also learned that Ukraine’s Armed Forces are preparing an offensive and need U.S. intelligence data for it.
According to CNN, he continues, Trump doesn’t necessarily believe Ukraine will reclaim its territories — rather, he wants to pressure Putin into coming to the negotiating table. Meanwhile, Vance believes Trump is simply running out of patience with Russia.

However, the expert emphasizes there is another version — that Trump talks to everyone as if he’s seducing a woman, just to trick her. That’s why, he says, Trump has always praised Putin, Lukashenko, and other dictators. But now, Trump has started praising Zelensky — and that could backfire on us.

“In other words, now he's trying to seduce us into something, lure us in, and then abandon us. Seduce us into some kind of deal — remember how Rubio suddenly said we should sign something, agree to a deal. And that, of course, is bad news — that he doesn’t genuinely love us. Trump doesn’t sincerely love us — he’s trying to seduce us with compliments,” Sheitelman concludes.
