“If you strike Chernihiv – there will be a blackout in Bryansk”: Expert says the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing a response

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Ukraine will retaliate against Russia's attempts to plunge the country into blackout conditions. The first signal was Belgorod, and next may be Moscow, according to Politeka.

A very notable statement, the expert notes, was made by Chief of the General Staff Hnatov, who confirmed the readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to respond symmetrically to Russia’s attempts to cause a blackout in Ukraine. Before that, President Zelensky openly stated that if Kyiv suffers a blackout, then so will Moscow.

"It should be conditionally said 'Kyiv,' because there must be a retaliatory strike for every affected settlement. For example, this happened with the Chernihiv region, when Russia launched a strike that disrupted electricity supply there. Afterwards, the enemy also targeted the Kyiv region, once again putting the whole world, our entire country, and even their own country at risk of a nuclear catastrophe by cutting off power to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. But after the incident in Chernihiv region, something happened to the Belgorod Thermal Power Plant, and Belgorod experienced a blackout.

If you strike Chernihiv – there will be a blackout in Bryansk and Bryansk city. If you strike Kharkiv – it will happen in Belgorod. If you strike the Sumy region – expect it in Kursk. And this must become a constant pattern," – Oleksandr Musiienko asserted.

He adds that journalists from The Wall Street Journal have reported that the Trump administration had instructed the Pentagon to assist Ukraine with intelligence and target adjustments for strikes deep into Russian territory, particularly against energy and oil-and-gas infrastructure facilities.

"If this information is confirmed, then Trump supported strikes deep into Russian territory on energy and oil refining sites — including with American-made weapons, from HIMARS systems and ATACMS missiles to the provision of intelligence, satellite, and aerial reconnaissance data," Musiienko concluded.
