"Orban understands that he is walking on the edge of a knife": Politician warned about the consequences of flirting with Putin

Politician Roman Bezsmertnyi stated that if the meeting between Trump and Putin had taken place in Budapest, Hungary could have been stripped of its voting rights in the EU, especially since Putin travels with fighter jets, Politeka reports.
He shared this during the "Free Media Space" program.
"In my opinion, Europe has now developed an extremely critical attitude towards Orban’s behavior. And pay attention to the fact that even the 19th sanctions package was supported by Orban. So Orban understands that he is walking on the edge of a knife," emphasizes Roman Bezsmertnyi.
He also reminds about Orban's promise that Putin would not be arrested during the summit with Trump in Budapest, but according to the ICC arrest warrant, he should have been detained, and Hungary is currently obliged to fulfill this commitment. Regarding Netanyahu, the politician points out that the situation is different because Israel was actually attacked, and Israel is the victim, so there is room for discussion. However, when it comes to Putin, there is an absolute consensus that the Russian president is a war criminal, and if Hungary did not arrest him at this meeting, it would have been stripped of its voting rights in the EU.
He also recalls the statement from the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they said they could have allowed Putin's plane to fly through their airspace if the meeting in Budapest had happened. And this, the program guest emphasizes, is even a good thing because the country has shown its position, and now we know it.
"But there is another problem. The plane that Putin flies on is usually accompanied by Su-35 fighter jets, as it was in Saudi Arabia. These are military aircraft, and this raises a question. I don’t know how the Bulgarians made this statement in advance. They should understand that a plane with full military equipment is entering their territory, and this is happening when there is a discussion in the EU and NATO about shortening regulations regarding targeting enemy aircraft. And let me remind you that according to NATO’s decision, Russia is recognized as a security threat on the same level as China, which means there is a special airspace control regime," warns Roman Bezsmertnyi.
