Political Technologist on New U.S. Oil Sanctions: "The Roller is Built, Now It’s Rolling and Will Crush Russia"

Oil Sanctions

Political technologist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that the new U.S. sanctions on Russian oil are the first step toward a full embargo. Russia will face the same fate as Iran and Iraq due to its aggression, according to Politeka.

He discussed this in his blog.

"So, what was done to Iran is now being done to Russia: a full embargo on Russian oil. This is the first step toward a real, complete embargo. Do you get the idea? Now let's see if Japan, the EU, or Canada will try to refuse to support it. Let them try. After that, that’s it. After that, there will be literally nothing. No port will allow this in. Because any oil purchased from Rosneft will be considered untouchable," Mikhail Sheitelman emphasized.

He reminded that previously, Europe repeatedly imposed sanctions on tankers, claiming they belonged to Russia’s shadow fleet. However, Russia simply changed those tankers and continued shipping oil. But now, the U.S. has imposed sanctions specifically on the oil. Therefore, Sheitelman asserts, these tankers won’t be able to dock at any port or pass through any strait.

After the war ends, he speculates, Russia will face a fate similar to Iraq’s. According to the expert, Iraq only received part of the profits from its oil exports, while the rest was paid directly to Kuwait as compensation for the war. In the same way, Ukraine should receive a share of the profits from Russian oil in the future until the Kremlin fully compensates for the damage caused.

"I believe that this launched mechanism is a real roller. Russia has been caught under the roller, Putin has been caught under the roller. Trump really built this roller over time. Trump, Kellogg, Rubio, Bessent built this roller. The only one who interfered was Witkoff, who was getting in the way. But as you can see, Witkoff has stopped being invited to key events, for example, he was no longer invited to talk with Lavrov and so on. This roller is built, it is now rolling and will crush Russia," Sheitelman concluded.
