“Trump gives us a carte blanche”: Expert says the U.S. provides Ukraine with intelligence and supplies weapons

Trump

Political technologist Mykhailo Sheitelman explained why, after his meeting with Xi Jinping, Trump didn’t end the Russian-Ukrainian war but instead repeated that both sides should be allowed to fight it out, as reported by Politeka.

He discussed this in his blog.

“I think Trump’s plan is completely different. Let me explain. First of all, is it related to the meeting with Xi? Yes, of course, it is. Trump realized that he has no tools to counter Xi, that he has nothing to offer Xi. Trump didn’t reach an agreement with Xi, we know that. He went to negotiate and failed to come to any conclusion. He lost. Well, it happens. Because the forces were unequal,” Mykhailo Sheitelman asserts.

According to the expert, it’s wrong to think that Trump decided to give Putin an advantage. On the contrary, he notes, Trump recently stated that he is not involved in the missiles Ukraine is using to strike Russia. And we don’t see strikes on Russian targets every night by coincidence; these actions also happen with U.S. intelligence support.

“What do you think, do the Russians want Trump to step back or not? I’ll tell you, they don’t want him to step back. They don’t want that. Look at how they’re trying to engage him, sending Dmitriev to him. At one point, they kept whispering in Biden’s ear, and his team’s ear, every time Ukraine struck a refinery, saying it must be stopped immediately because it raises oil prices, and so on, or they’d use nuclear weapons. But now Trump says he doesn’t know anything. So, Trump is giving us a carte blanche, while at the same time his intelligence service is providing us with intelligence, and through NATO, American weapons are coming to us,” explains Sheitelman.

As for Putin, he notes, Trump isn’t giving him anything, since the sanctions haven’t been lifted, and aid to Ukraine hasn’t been cut off. Trump simply stepped away from the matter and said, "Let them fight." And, of course, the expert points out, Trump couldn’t stop the war on terms acceptable to Ukraine at this moment, which is why the situation is as it is.
