Conservative narratives for European countries are written in Moscow, say political experts

Moscow, Kreml

Military and political experts Oleksandr Musiienko and Taras Berezovets explained why far-right European parties and American conservatives repeat Kremlin narratives, as reported by Politeka.

They discussed this in the podcast "After the War."

"Today, unfortunately, many of the conservative narratives for European countries are written in Moscow. We often laugh at the senseless statements made by Dugin and other idiots who come out and try to say something, but then, through information dissemination sources, it reaches there and settles in Europe. And then we ask ourselves, why do far-right parties oppose support for Ukraine? Why are they so supportive of Russia?" — emphasizes Oleksandr Musiienko.

As he explains, the doctrines of far-right movements in Europe have been nullified and discredited, especially those with ties to fascists in Italy and Nazis in Germany, so they had to seek inspiration elsewhere — and they found it in Moscow.

According to Taras Berezovets, it is also worth mentioning the pseudo-religious Russian cults that the Kremlin feeds to certain figures in the United States. For example, he recalls that Putin once told then-U.S. President George W. Bush that his dacha had caught fire and all valuable items were destroyed—except for a small cross he wore. The expert notes that the story is, of course, strange, considering that the cross could have been made of gold or silver, in which case it would have simply melted.

"But of course, to George W. Bush—a very religious man—Putin successfully sold this story. As they say, he mirrored it—there’s a term like that in intelligence services. He reflected back Bush’s own religious beliefs. Just like he sold Steve Witkoff the story about supposedly praying for Trump when there was an assassination attempt on him," adds Taras Berezovets.
