“The aggressor must be pressured”: expert says that Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Russia only facilitate negotiations

war in Ukraine

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiyenko stated that without a reaction from the international community and real pressure, Russia will never agree to end the war because it is unpunished evil, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his blog.

According to the expert, there was no proper response from the international community to the act of genocide and terror in Ternopil, when Russia deliberately attacked a residential building, when images of a father burying his one-and-a-half-year-old child spread across Ukraine. Yes, he notes, there were some statements, but not the tough reaction the Putin regime deserves.

“The aggressor must be pressured; they must be pushed to the limit. This empire must cease to exist, even if not territorially. Let's not fixate on this, although this will happen someday, I believe, because all empires collapse — these are historically inevitable processes, no matter what Russian propagandists say or how they try to distort history. These are objective historical processes, this is a given, and nothing can be done against them. And therefore this empire will also collapse. But it is important that it be destroyed in a political sense, so that Moscow’s embodiment as an imperial center ceases to exist,” Musiyenko explains.

Thus, the expert concludes, Ternopil passed unnoticed, which is why Russia continues to attack other Ukrainian cities: Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv. Therefore, he emphasizes, the punitive sword must be drawn.

“We are told that this may hinder negotiations. Nothing will hinder them, because only tools of pressure — destroying the enemy, strikes on Russia, taking the war onto the enemy’s territory — can stop them. If they stop and cease these strikes, we will stop as well, of course. But we must not forget about accountability and compensation for the damage caused by the aggression,” Oleksandr Musiyenko concludes.
