“The State Department has issued a red warning”: an expert assessed whether the U.S. will intervene in the protests in Iran

Iran

Political analyst and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko said that amid the protests in Iran, the United States could intervene, the ayatollahs’ regime could fall, and a new government would break its alliance with Russia, Politeka reports.

He said this on his blog.

“Putin is obsessed with the war against Ukraine; he is ready to sacrifice Venezuela and will likely sacrifice Iran as well. The most Putin can do is evacuate Ali Khamenei along with some of his close associates from Iran against the backdrop of the wave of protests that have engulfed the country and continue in many cities, including the capital, Tehran. And something is brewing there: the State Department has issued a red warning; all Western countries are urging their citizens to leave Iran immediately. And Trump is considering the option of a military strike. Well, there should also be a military strike on Putin… I think that would be fair in the current situation. I’ve said this before,” Oleksandr Musiienko notes.

The United States, the expert says, wants to protect Iranian protesters from the security forces, because the police there are simply rampaging, shooting people in the streets. Of course, he adds, the success of the protests and Iran’s pivot toward rapprochement with the West are in Ukraine’s interests.

At the very least, the expert explains, this would sever cooperation with Putin, because, according to Bloomberg, Iran has sold Russia ballistic missiles alone worth $3 billion, and now those missiles are flying at Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, and other Ukrainian cities. In his view, if power in Iran changes, pressure should be put on the United States so that these missiles are supplied to Ukraine for retaliation against the Putin regime; that would be fair and logical.

“So Iran may reduce cooperation with Russia in the future if the regime falls and the ayatollahs fail to strike a deal with Trump now by promising him something they ultimately won’t deliver. Let this regime fall—then there will be a normal government. And let them supply us with the missiles that we will return against Russia. I think that would be right,” Oleksandr Musiienko asserts.
