Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that this whole story with Greenland once again proves that the entire world is interconnected, that there will be consequences for everyone, and that U.S. guarantees are worthless, Politeka reports.

As the expert notes, while there is no news in our hemisphere, everyone is watching what is happening in the Arctic latitudes far from Ukraine — that is, they are following the potential occupation of Greenland. This, he emphasizes, shows how interconnected everything is, that we live in a single ecosystem, and that the consequences of seizing some distant northern island can end up in Donbas in the form of a huge catastrophe.

“Mao Zedong did not understand that if you kill all the sparrows, the shoots will disappear. He didn’t understand this, which is why he ordered all the sparrows to be killed. But we understand that if America is allowed to seize distant Greenland, this entire catastrophe will reverberate back to us,” Mikhail Sheitelman emphasizes.

According to him, Europeans should reflect on many things after this whole situation, and we should understand that security guarantees from the United States are a sham. After all, the expert recalls, there was recently an anniversary of the signing of a 100-year partnership agreement with the United Kingdom, but everyone forgot that we have a ten-year security agreement with the United States.

“Please give us more F-16s, please train our pilots, and please give us missiles for Patriot systems. You promised. That’s the security guarantee. Trump will say that this was signed by the madman and old man Biden. And what are papers signed by Trump worth? What are any security guarantees from the United States worth? And the British say: ‘Yes, there is a treaty, and we are working under it for 100 years.’ That’s why Britain ruled the seas for centuries, while America still remains a young upstart country,” Mikhail Sheitelman concluded.
