A Council of Unexpected Guests: an Expert Explains What Kind of Peace Council Trump Is Creating

Trump

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman explained that at best the Peace Council will turn into the CIS, possibly even without putin, since Trump would be making all the decisions single-handedly there, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his blog.

The Peace Council, the expert notes, is intended to replace the UN. Trump would head it, and at his right hand would be the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, who have already agreed to join. In addition, he adds, even putin has received an invitation to the Peace Council—apparently, he would serve there as a peacemaker.

“So that’s what the Council will look like. Putin, Mirziyoyev, Tokayev, and Trump. And this is the Peace Council. But if you remove Trump, what do we see there? The CIS in its pure form. That’s everyone they’ll manage to gather. One billion from each CIS country—a shirt for the poor Trump. So why call it the Peace Council? Just call it the CIS—the Council of Unexpected Guests, the Council of Unanticipated Citizens, the Council of New Statists—so you won’t have to rename it again later. The full CIS lineup around a round table, and in the middle Trump sitting on a golden throne,” Mikhail Sheitelman comments.

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the expert reasons, are not bad for a start: first, two billion straight into the pocket; second, Mirziyoyev and Tokayev will share Asian wisdom with Trump, drink tea, eat plov—this will all be very positive, everyone will feel better.

“But putin has not yet given his consent. Peskov said that putin is still taking a closer look at the initiative. An interesting undertaking, but we’ll observe it for now. That is, putin considered it beneath him to sit on this peace council where Chairman Trump has the sole right to make any decision. putin is hesitating about whether to join or not. Just imagine—there is something in the world that putin has turned his nose up at. putin has turned down membership in the Peace Council. That, it seems to me, is a serious bid for the success of the Peace Council,” Mikhail Sheitelman concludes.
