Biden delivers first speech and criticizes Trump: "So much damage..."

President Joe Biden stated that the Trump administration, despite being in the White House for less than 100 days, has already inflicted significant harm on the U.S. social welfare system.

The 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, made his first public address since leaving office, during which he openly criticized Donald Trump’s policies.

According to CNN, Biden spoke at a conference for lawyers, advocates, and representatives of people with disabilities. The primary focus of his speech was the issue of social security.

He condemned the Trump administration’s attempts to cut spending in this area, calling social security “not just a government program, but a sacred promise.” Biden emphasized that people who have contributed through insurance premiums since the beginning of their careers rely on those benefits.

“This hope must not be betrayed, and this duty must not be ignored,” he stated.

Biden also strongly condemned Trump’s approach to social programs, claiming that the new administration has already “caused so much damage and destruction” in less than 100 days in office.

“Just look at what’s happened — in less than 100 days, this new administration has done so much harm, so much damage, it takes your breath away,” he added.

Biden spoke for just under 30 minutes and never mentioned Trump by name. According to NBC, he spoke very softly and somewhat indistinctly.

“At times it was hard to hear Biden — so much so that those in the room remained still and silent to catch his words,” the outlet reported.
