“They Will Set the Rules of the Game”: An Expert Assesses Whether Trump’s Peace Council Could Become a World Government

Trump

The head of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan, Muhiddin Kabiri, explained that the Peace Council could evolve into a kind of world government.

He spoke about this on Valeriy Savchuk’s author program “Different People.”

According to the politician, after Davos it became clear that it is necessary to move away from the old paradigm, because Trump announced the creation of a Peace Council. Although part of the global elite refused to join it, countries inclined toward authoritarianism have joined instead.

“This is not from the realm of conspiracy theories, but in general this Peace Council may not only duplicate the UN, but in some form perform the functions of a world government. Even after Trump leaves the post of U.S. president, he will remain the head of this Council, which already includes or plans to include figures such as Putin, Lukashenko, and other representatives of Central Asia. And I fear that this will become a club of authoritarian leaders. They will determine the rules of the game, at least partially, in our region. This is a very bad signal for us,” Muhiddin Kabiri explains.

At the same time, the politician notes that Canada, France, Germany, and Britain demonstrated in Davos that they are developing a common unified position, which could be described as a global opposition. In other words, he emphasizes, if Trump is creating his own authoritarian club, then there must be a global opposition as a counterbalance.

“This global opposition should consist not only of state governments but also of various segments of society. Otherwise, I am very afraid that the visions and concepts that exist in the minds of some politicians will have very bad consequences not only for small states like Tajikistan or the countries of Central Asia, but for the rest of the world as well,” Muhiddin Kabiri warns.
