“The more America spends there, the less we will receive”: expert assesses stockpiles of missiles for Patriot

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko commented on a Fox News report that the United States is sponsoring and arming the Kurds for an offensive against Iran, explaining what this could mean, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his blog.

“CNN writes that the CIA is working on arming Kurdish forces in order to provoke a popular uprising in Iran. According to sources, the administration of President Trump is actively negotiating with Iranian opposition groups and Kurdish leaders in Iraq about providing them with military support,” Oleksandr Musiienko says.

Kurdish armed groups, he notes, have thousands of fighters operating along the Iraqi-Iranian border, mainly in Iraqi Kurdistan. As he explains, several groups have published statements since the start of the war in Iran hinting at imminent actions and calling on Iran’s armed forces to switch to their side.

“Fox News wrote that a movement has allegedly begun there, that things are already heating up and that the Kurds are advancing, although the Iranians deny this. Logically so, because without a ground operation it could drag on for a long time. Meanwhile, The Washington Post already writes that Americans lack certain weapons and that the more America spends there, the less we will receive. We must be realistic: the longer this war lasts, the longer Iran has the ability to force the United States and its partners to spend their air-defense stockpiles, including Patriot missiles, the less Ukraine may receive in the future,” Oleksandr Musiienko explains.

He also adds that there is information that the commander of the U.S. Central Command, who is responsible for this operation, said it would last at least 100 days—that is the timeframe the United States is planning for. Thus, the expert concludes, the United States has decided to change its objectives and support a large uprising of opposition forces in Iran to overthrow the government, because the regime is holding on and events are not unfolding as quickly as originally planned.
