“Ukraine Is Important from the Perspective of Global Security”: Expert Assesses Whether Trump Will Appreciate the Assistance in the Middle East

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko said that Ukrainian specialists have already arrived in Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia to help counter drones, and he assessed the pros and cons, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this in his blog.

“Ukraine is indeed establishing itself as a powerful global player, because our technologies are in demand. Not only Europe but also other countries of the world recognize that Ukraine is important from the perspective of global security and experience. We are the only country in the world that has experience in successfully countering Iranian drones. We have experience in building a complex air defense system saturated with various systems, forces, and means. Therefore, of course, the countries of the Middle East cannot stay aside — our experience is truly needed,” Oleksandr Musiienko emphasizes.

Moreover, the expert notes that our interceptor drones will help protect oil infrastructure in the Middle East, which could stabilize prices, so the Kremlin may forget about the lifting of sanctions on its oil.

“But Iran may perceive such steps as entering the war. They will start rattling weapons, there will be rhetoric that Ukraine is supposedly joining the war against Iran, although we are essentially carrying out passive defense. There is no talk of attacking Iranian territory. What is being discussed is strengthening air defense. In addition, we also need to accumulate capabilities; every specialist is worth their weight in gold, as is every interceptor drone, in order to strengthen protection against Russian drones,” Oleksandr Musiienko warns.

He also recalled a report by Axios that last year the United States refused Ukraine’s proposal to transfer anti-drone technologies to them. In other words, the expert explains, Trump may still fail to appreciate Ukraine’s contribution to security in the Middle East; he recently said that the United States has interceptor drones without mentioning Ukraine.
