“Gazprom is complaining”: an expert assesses Ukraine’s strikes on Russia’s export capabilities

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Ukraine’s strikes on Russia’s export capabilities are working, and that when Donald Trump finishes with Iran and oil prices fall, the situation will shift, reports Politeka.

He spoke about this on his blog.

According to the expert, Gazprom is already complaining and lamenting that Ukrainian drones are striking their export infrastructure. In his words, this is great news, since Vladimir Putin sees a window of opportunity and believes he is in a strong position, as oil and gas prices are rising. He expects new clients from Asia; even in South Korea there has been talk about discussing the possibility of importing Russian oil, and India wants to increase imports, including fuel oil.

“That is precisely why now is the best time to strike Russia’s export capabilities. And I believe this work will continue. At the very least, Gazprom is complaining, and that is already a good result for us. This means that Ukraine is choosing the right strategy in this situation. These are now the most important and highest-priority targets for us,” asserts Oleksandr Musiienko.

He also notes that in the United States there is discussion about the possible seizure of Khark Island in order to take control of oil and gas fields. In other words, the expert says, the U.S. wants to bring resources under its control, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says that in the future they might even lift restrictions and tariffs on Iranian oil. The goal, therefore, is to increase supply on the market and lower prices, taking U.S. interests into account.

“The U.S. interest lies in gaining access to Iranian oil and gas and trying to use it in the interests of American corporations. But strategically, this could bring bad news for Putin. Therefore, we need to endure this period. And our resilience lies in our strikes on Russia’s oil and gas export resources,” concludes Oleksandr Musiienko.
