The story about sabotage against the “TurkStream” pipeline is an operation by Russian special services, says an expert

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that in the story about the alleged Ukrainian sabotage against “TurkStream,” there are signs of a Russian trace and Viktor Orbán’s election campaign, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his blog.

According to the expert, the Kremlin is in a frenzy and no longer knows what to invent or what to accuse Ukraine of in order to provoke pressure on us from the United States or even Europe, so that we would stop our strikes on Russian oil exports, which, of course, cause significant losses. Therefore, he concludes, the Russians are looking for various ways, and in particular, have repeatedly tried to accuse Ukraine of alleged acts of sabotage against “TurkStream” in order to eliminate Russian gas exports to Europe.

“And so they tried to promote the version that Ukrainian special services allegedly attempted to blow up a gas pipeline running to Hungary from Serbia. But Serbian services did not find any Ukrainian trace in the alleged sabotage attempt,” Oleksandr Musiienko emphasizes.

As the director of the Military Security Agency, Đuro Jovanić, stated, the expert continues, the disinformation indicates that Serbian servicemen, when they found packages with explosives and blamed Ukraine, were working for a third party. Meanwhile, Orbán, he adds, even convened a National Security Council meeting and instructed the military to guard the Hungarian section of “TurkStream.”

“But I emphasize, Serbia found no evidence. Moreover, I would not be surprised if Russian special services are behind this, trying to blame Ukraine and play along with Orbán ahead of the upcoming elections,” Oleksandr Musiienko asserts.
