Political Expert and Serviceman Speaks on Security Guarantees for Ukraine from the West: "Moscow Will Have No Right of Veto"

war
Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Ukraine is making serious efforts to obtain security guarantees and shared some of the progress that has already been achieved, as reported by Politeka. He discussed the matter in his blog.

"One of the key areas, of course, involves the development of a strategic partnership and deepening of military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. This includes joint arms production, as well as the supply of weapons and intelligence to our country. I hope that Ukrainian-American military-technical cooperation will continue to grow and thrive in the future, despite all challenges," Musiienko explained.

The second direction, he continued, is the "coalition of the willing" — primarily the United Kingdom and France — which have expressed support for deploying a military mission on Ukrainian territory. According to the expert, the Western military contingent would assist the Ukrainian Armed Forces, train Ukrainian soldiers, facilitate experience exchange, and provide additional air defense systems, electronic warfare systems, and — most importantly — a mechanism for maintaining a ceasefire regime.

"The Telegraph" reported that the U.S. is ready to provide financial, political, and intelligence support to this military-technical mission in Ukraine. A very important point that needs to be emphasized, Musiienko noted, is that the United States supports the idea of deploying foreign troops on Ukrainian soil as a security guarantee — and Moscow will have no right of veto.

In conclusion, the expert stated that Ukraine is pursuing a systemic approach to securing safety guarantees and is achieving positive interim results, despite political processes and turbulence. He emphasized that the military mission of Western countries in Ukraine has already become a reality, and security guarantees from the United States are also attainable — although the path to them is complex and lengthy.
