Lukashenko Is Creating a Casus Belli: Explains How Belarus Is Looking for a Pretext to Enter the War

Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko said that Belarus is trying to find reasons to get drawn into the war, but Lukashenko understands that this could end badly for him, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his blog.
“Lukashenko allegedly spotted 116 Ukrainian drones in a week. Just imagine that. The Lukashenko regime claims there are supposedly daily attempts by Ukrainian drones to cross the Belarusian border. Ukrainian border guards emphasize the absurdity of these statements,” Oleksandr Musiienko noted.
According to him, these claims were made by Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Volfovich in Moscow during a meeting of the CSTO Security Council Secretaries Committee. He allegedly stated that Belarusian air defense systems record regular crossings of the Belarus–Ukraine border by combat UAVs every day. However, the expert points out that since Volfovich first mentioned Belarus and then Ukraine, it sounds as though the UAVs are actually being launched from Belarus — an interesting slip of the tongue that could contain some truth.
The State Border Guard Service, he adds, stated that this is yet another attempt by Belarus to accuse Ukraine of something, claiming there are threats — in other words, Belarus has not abandoned attempts to find some justification for entering the war.
“But again, Lukashenko understands that this could mean the collapse of his regime, because he could face sabotage, unpreparedness, a large number of AWOL cases, deserters, and so on. In other words, problems could arise. Moreover, the unwillingness of the Belarusian army to engage in active combat operations would also demoralize Russian units and lower their fighting spirit. That is also possible,” Oleksandr Musiienko explained.
