Bring the U.S. Back Into the Negotiation Process: Expert Reveals New Details of Trump-Putin Agreements

Political strategist Mykhailo Sheitelman said that official statements from the Russian Foreign Ministry addressed to the White House suggest that Trump may indeed have promised Putin Donbas — or at least that this is how the Kremlin interpreted it, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his blog.
“A new statement has been released by Sergei Ryabkov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, and it gave me a million hints all at once. It seems to me that this statement implies that Trump really did promise Putin victory over Ukraine, that Trump promised Putin help in defeating Ukraine, and that after Anchorage, at least the Russians concluded that Trump had promised to help them seize Donbas. And now they are throwing this back at him as a demand,” Mykhailo Sheitelman claims.
According to the expert, Ryabkov stated that Russia is calling on the U.S. administration to recognize the extent of its responsibility for implementing the agreements reached during the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska, and that Russia is ready to do its part and carry out specific agreements and decisions made within the framework of Anchorage. In other words, he explains, Russia will allow the United States to dig a tunnel under the Bering Strait, while Trump is expected to deliver Donbas to them on a silver platter.
The Russians, he emphasizes, are speaking about this openly — it is not some secret publication, but an official statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry. They are effectively throwing down the gauntlet to Trump, saying: “Hello, you’re not keeping your word. You promised us. Where is it? Come on.”
Earlier, the expert notes, Lavrov spoke in Moscow about the “spirit of Anchorage,” but this is an official appeal from the Russian Foreign Ministry to the White House, and it is essentially a reproach.
“This statement by Ryabkov proves to me that their current campaign of systematic strikes on Kyiv is not accidental. We are serial maniacs, and we will keep striking Kyiv systematically. These threats of attacks on Kyiv are meant to bring the United States back into the negotiation process. And with this reproach they are basically saying: ‘Hello, come back, we’ll forgive everything. Return to our talks,’” Mykhailo Sheitelman explains.
