“Karol Nawrocki is acting here like a battering ram”: expert explains who is behind the scandal over the Order of the White Eagle

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman explained what the scandal over the Order of the White Eagle is really about, and why Volodymyr Zelensky personally refused the award, while previous Ukrainian presidents supported him in this decision, reports Politeka.

He said this in his blog.

According to the expert, Nawrocki is not pro-Russian, but he criticizes Ukraine over Volhynia. He has made a name for himself on historical issues and promotes himself in Poland as a historian, while on the other side there is Donald Tusk and his liberal camp. However, he emphasizes that it is not accidental that the story with the Order of the White Eagle appeared, faded, and then flared up again.

“It is not about Russian agents. Russia later amplifies this scandal, I have no doubt about it, but it could not have initiated it. There are people who could have launched this scandal. And I think, unfortunately, that Nawrocki is acting here as a battering ram for one group of people, and that explains a lot. It also explains the solidarity of our presidents. And it is not personally about Trump, but around Donald Trump there is a group of fraudsters and thieves — J.D. Vance, who is now also covering this group, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner,” explains Mikhail Sheitelman.

He recalls that Zelensky has survived more than one attack from the White House, because after the scandal in the Oval Office there were statements about him being a dictator and having a 4% approval rating. Now the President of Poland is stripping him of the Order of the White Eagle after a visit to the United States for Trump’s birthday, where he allegedly met with Vance and Witkoff. Vance, the expert continues, is trying to bring Trumpists to power in Europe — for example, he supported Viktor Orbán in Hungary, Călin Georgescu in Romania, the AfD in Germany, and now he wants to bring Nawrocki into MAGA, offering him help in Poland’s parliamentary elections in exchange for this strike against Zelensky. The goal, he explains, was to pressure Zelensky, remove him from power in Ukraine, and sign a surrender of Donbas. He adds that more may become known about this plan later, but for now, as we can see, nothing has worked.

“This group of fraudsters and thieves has no methods that work against us. They tried to hit us again, thinking they could exploit this topic. ‘Let’s strike like this and bring Nawrocki over to our side.’ It won’t work in Ukraine for Nawrocki, but it might in Poland. He could now consolidate people around himself and earn political points; we’ll see how things unfold in Poland. We saw that Trump’s support led to Orbán’s defeat, but at the same time Trump’s support led to Pashinyan’s victory — meaning despite Trump’s support. It can turn out differently. But this is my political strategist’s take: this is what the story looks like,” concludes Mikhail Sheitelman.
