“Let’s hold a large experts’ forum”: expert proposed solutions to historical conflicts between Ukraine and Poland

Political expert and serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Musiienko warned that the conflict over the UPA and the Order of the White Eagle with Poland could go far beyond history, and ordinary people will suffer as a result, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this in his blog.
“I have listed who the Order of the White Eagle was awarded to. And Mussolini is among them. Is that normal? It is not normal. And fortunately, many Poles respond adequately and continue to support Ukraine. There are such people, and we must also work with them as actively as possible. Regarding Schröder, Poland’s response is interesting, claiming that Schröder is supposedly more pro-Polish than Zelensky. A strange construct. Let me remind you that if Schröder is loyal to anyone, it is Russia, Putin, and Gazprom’s money,” Oleksandr Musiienko notes.
He emphasizes that the worst part is that ordinary people are suffering because of this crisis, as queues at the borders are already being recorded, additional controls have been introduced, and all belongings are being checked—everything is being done so that people spend a very, very long time at the border. The expert adds that the harvest season is still some time away, so farmers will also be affected, and if the conflict is not resolved, the border may be blocked for Ukrainian goods, so it is already worth looking for alternatives—detours through Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary.
According to him, if there is no contact between Zelensky and Nawrocki, if cooperation cannot be established and Polish radicals cannot be restrained, the situation will escalate, and Ukraine may have to escalate as well, possibly by blocking Polish goods.
“It is hard to say where the boiling point in Ukrainian-Polish relations may lead. But the prospect of losing cooperation even against the backdrop of the NATO summit in Turkey in July is difficult. Let’s hold a large forum of experts, representatives of civil society, analysts, security and defense specialists, economists, politicians, and historians from both the Ukrainian and Polish sides. Let’s gather them all at venues. It could be in Ukraine or in Poland—let’s do it in the capitals. Discuss it with a final declaration, with calls to the Polish authorities to stop this, and to emphasize that our societies understand each other,” Oleksandr Musiienko explains.
