Military expert draws attention to important military and political aspects of the parade in Moscow: technologies and military-industrial complex

Military expert Oleg Starikov explained that the parade on May 9 in Russia is a presentation of new equipment and a demonstration of political attitudes, so the Ukrainian and other intelligence services are monitoring all this, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his channel.

“Why is it necessary to watch military parades of all countries that are, firstly, surrounded by Ukraine, as well as those that influence Ukraine? Especially the country with which we are at war? This is the duty of a special service officer,” Oleg Starikov notes.

According to him, during military parades, military attachés from different countries always sit in the stands, and they conduct not only intelligence activities, but also subversive intelligence, and they also evaluate personnel, their moral and combat condition, and most importantly, they look at the equipment.

“Parades are even required to be watched by our intelligence agencies. I'm not even talking about the Pentagon, about MI6. There are special people sitting there, special analysts who record all this, and then they will give a report to their immediate superiors on what new types of weapons the Russian Federation has shown. Why is this necessary? In order to determine the level of work of the military-industrial complex, to determine whether it can be restored. The second is the level of work of engineering and technical personnel and the introduction of new technologies," explains Oleg Starikov.

If we talk about the political part of the parade, the expert notes, then, in particular, in post-Soviet countries it is important who sits where, on which side, in which row, this shows the level of interaction with different countries. In particular, he notes, Xi Jinping sat next to Putin, and this can be considered a signal to Trump.
