A military expert explained why it is not so easy to stop hostilities: "Inertia is very large"

war in Ukraine

Military expert Oleg Starykov explained that the parties will not achieve anything on the battlefield, but it is impossible to stop hostilities abruptly due to the force of inertia, reports Politeka.

He told about this on his channel.

"Now there is a war for peace. It is not war for war, but war for peace. How to stop it and how to come to peace agreements? I'll explain using the example of a spaceship," says Oleg Starykov.

That is, he says, the spacecraft is flying at the third cosmic speed in airless space, and it cannot immediately stop on command, otherwise it will collapse or fall into a meteorite, and the people inside will simply be crushed by energy. According to the expert, it's all about the force of inertia, therefore, in order to stop such a spacecraft, it is turned on the other side and the engine is slowly turned off.

"When there are a million people on one side, and a million on the other, the inertia is very great. If the two supreme commanders - Zelensky and Putin - come out now and say that they are ordering their chiefs of the General Staff to stop the conduct of hostilities, nothing will stop. The inertia is such that it will last another month, God willing. Or maybe 2-4 or more, because it (ed. – inertia) will crush everyone. President Trump understands this," Oleg Starykov explains.

According to the expert, there will be no special changes on the battlefield, that is, tactical crises will not turn into operational-tactical, operational and operational-strategic ones, so in military terms, the parties will not be able to defeat each other. So, he states, the aggressor will not be able to fulfill his tasks, just like Ukraine for now, US Secretary of State Rubio said this, so the war is not for war, but for peace.
