Trump's Attitude Toward Ukraine: Expert Assesses How Everything Changed Since February 28

Trump

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that phone calls between Zelensky and Trump have become not only frequent but also productive, as the U.S. is now helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike Russian oil refineries, reports Politeka.
He shared this in his blog.

According to the expert, Trump and Zelensky can now be called "brothers forever" because, while their calls used to be announced a week in advance, they are now an everyday occurrence. Meanwhile, Trump’s conversations with Putin, he notes, are perceived as rare and extraordinary events, whereas the relationship with Zelensky has significantly evolved.

“Trump and Zelensky’s calls have become routine — much like Macron’s calls with Zelensky. Remember when they used to say they called each other every day, sometimes even several times a day? That really struck me. Just think — going all the way from February 28, when Zelensky was essentially kicked out of the White House, to now having regular, working-level calls with the U.S. president. Not ceremonial, not formal — just standard work calls,” emphasized Mikhail Sheitelman.

During their latest working call, Sheitelman says, Zelensky mentioned that air defense was discussed, while Axios reported that the real topic was Tomahawk missiles and potential targets for them. At the same time, the Financial Times published a story revealing that the U.S. has long been helping Ukraine target Russian oil refineries.

“Zelensky and Trump had another call — the second day in a row. It’s as if this is just their morning coffee. Like, ‘every morning we have coffee with Trump, just to go over the usual stuff.’ And all of this is happening during a very challenging time, at a very serious moment — when Trump is busy establishing his eighth version of peace between Israel and Hamas,” concluded Mikhail Sheitelman.
