"Russia will be destroyed faster": expert assesses the consequences of an attack on Europe for Putin

Putin

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman explained that Ukraine is successfully destroying Russia’s military power, which is of course beneficial for Europe, but if Putin decides to attack NATO, his end will come even sooner, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his blog.

"To our deepest regret, if Russia attacks Europe, it will become easier for Ukraine to fight, but harder for Europe and the world as a whole. This is a fact. But Russia will be destroyed more quickly in such a scenario. If Russia attacks a European NATO country, its collapse will come sooner," Mikhail Sheitelman claims.

However, the expert reasons, one should not assume that Europe benefits from an endless war in Ukraine, because it depends on which part of Europe we are talking about. For example, he explains, ordinary residents of Latvia do not benefit from an endless war in Ukraine, but there are certain politicians who have openly admitted otherwise.

"And these were not some eccentric ultra-left or ultra-right politicians. Not at all. These were quite mainstream representatives of the European establishment, who said, for example, that if the war in Ukraine lasted less than three years, they would not have enough time to prepare for a war with Russia. So yes, there are certain politicians, and I think some ordinary citizens in European countries, who believe that a long war between Ukraine and Russia is beneficial to them so they can prepare," Sheitelman explains.

Or, he adds, such Europeans benefit from a long war because Ukraine would weaken the Russian army — which is exactly what we are doing. After all, the expert emphasizes, in 2022 Europe was still afraid of Russia, but today everyone understands that this is not the same army, that the emperor has no clothes, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed all of Russia’s elite units and divisions, its paratroopers and tank crews have been wiped out, and all of that is now “overgrown with mushrooms” in the Kyiv region. Therefore, he concludes, a long war in Ukraine is indeed beneficial for Europe in terms of destroying Russia’s army, navy, and strategic aviation — and this is the achievement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
