We Need to Hold Out for 2–3 Weeks: Expert Explains How Ukraine Can Exit the Negotiation Process Without Capitulating

Donald Trump, war in Ukraine

Political strategist Mykhailo Sheitelman explained that Russia will not agree to the peace plan — it’s a fake — and therefore Ukraine’s goal is to hold out in negotiations with the United States until Christmas and show that it is Putin who doesn’t want peace, Politeka reports.

He discussed this in his blog.

According to the expert, fire, water, and brass pipes are the three traditional trials a hero must pass to become a victor or a handsome prince. And Ukraine, he emphasizes, has already spent nearly four years going through the fire of war with constant Russian shelling, and has also passed the “brass pipes” — attempts to pressure Ukraine into surrendering territory, conflicts with the Poles at the border over grain, and much more. Now, the expert states, we are at the “water” stage — it seeps into even the smallest cracks in our unity and solidarity to force Ukraine to capitulate. Worst of all, he says, this “water” is coming not only from Russia, but now also from the United States with this peace plan.

“We still have 2–3 weeks ahead. Why do I limit it specifically to 2–3 weeks? Because after that comes Christmas in America. We need to hold out for 2–3 weeks. I’m not joking. To repel this attack from the party of crooks and thieves around Whitcoff — and in this case also Vance and Driscoll — we have 2–3 weeks. Then Christmas comes, everyone forgets everything, and in January everything starts again. New life, new matters,” Sheitelman emphasizes.

According to the expert, the task is to fend off this attack at the negotiating table, not to conclude peace, because Putin does not intend to make any deal — it’s all fake. As he explains, according to Russia’s plan, the United States will now pressure Ukraine to accept the terms of the peace plan; then the delegation will fly to the Kremlin, Putin will pocket the concessions, and will then put forward new demands. Therefore the entire negotiation process is a lie.

“Our goal right now is not to achieve peace. The goal of our work with Trump’s 28 points is not to reach peace, but to blur the whole thing, to show that Russia is once again to blame — so that Trump and his voters are convinced that the war continues solely because of Russia’s fault, and that it is not Ukraine that is obstructing peace,” Mykhailo Sheitelman explains.
