New World Order: Expert Reveals What Is Being Negotiated in Peace Talks About Ukraine

Political scientist Vitalii Kulyk explained that peace negotiations will not bring true peace to Ukraine, as even the Minsk agreements were presented as a ceasefire regime, although shelling occurred every day, as reported by Politeka.

He shared this information on the channel "7 Steps."
“These negotiations are not about Ukraine. Yes, there are major players who are defining their subjectivity, their place in the new world order. There are prominent players like the USA, the EU, and Britain. There are less visible players, like China. It seems like they’re involved, but they do not directly participate in these negotiations or in this case. However, they are consulted, their opinions are asked for, and pressure is being applied on them. China is indirectly involved in these peace talks as well. So, these negotiations are not about Ukraine; they are about the new world order,” Vitalii Kulyk emphasized.

According to the expert, when considering whether these negotiations will ultimately bring peace to Ukraine, there are many shades of grey. He explains that these talks might reduce the intensity of hostilities for a certain period, they may lead to a peace agreement, but it could end up being another Budapest Memorandum.

The expert also notes that these talks may define Ukraine’s place in the European security architecture. That is, we will be integrated into this security system as part of the military-industrial complex, and we might see the possibility, at least the prospect, of forming a joint military force of European NATO countries with Ukraine, and setting up joint production chains of certain weapons with Europeans.

“I want to remind you that when we signed the Minsk papers, we were told we’d received a ceasefire regime. We were verifying this ceasefire. I worked in the Luhansk region as an advisor to the head of the military administration. We documented it every day. Since the beginning of 2017, we haven’t had a single day without shelling. And this was sold to us as a ceasefire. Now, the situation will be much more complicated when it comes to verifying shelling, ensuring a demilitarized zone, if one suddenly arises. So, it’s unlikely that these negotiations will bring us peace in this sense. I always leave a 1% chance for a miracle, but it’s unlikely to happen. However, the process will continue, and in this process, there might be a situation where we have neither peace nor war,” Vitalii Kulyk concludes.
