“We Will Soon See a Series of Strikes in the Baltic Sea”: Expert Speaks About New Successful Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Political analyst and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Ukrainian strikes will not allow Russia to calmly transport oil products and thus earn money to continue the war, Politeka reports.

He said this on his blog.

According to the expert, UAVs carried out a successful attack on port infrastructure in the settlement of Volna, Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. As a result of more than 10 explosions, a large-scale fire broke out over an area of 1,500 square meters. Serious damage was recorded to two piers and two vessels. In addition, he adds, an oil pipeline on the pier was damaged. This is a complex engineering challenge: repairs require highly specialized equipment, specialists, and time, which could halt the shipment of oil products for several weeks or even months.

“We see that the Defense and Security Forces continue to work strategically to reduce the enemy’s capacity to transport and export oil products. Strikes are being carried out in the Black Sea region, against the enemy’s infrastructure and beyond. Last week we saw a strike in the Mediterranean Sea on a vessel that was heading to Ust-Luga, in the Baltic Sea. I do not rule out that soon we will see a series of strikes in the Baltic Sea as well, so as not to allow the enemy to calmly transport oil products there either,” Oleksandr Musiienko comments.

Such strikes, the expert emphasizes, hit Russia’s foreign currency revenues and complicate the refueling of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which the Defense Forces have forced to hide in Novorossiysk and in the unrecognized Abkhazia, where Putin built an additional port for this purpose.

“We see that this is producing results. In addition, attacks on the southern part of Russia indicate that our Defense Forces are successfully thinning out air defense systems. These strikes against air defense systems—launchers, radars, and other complexes responsible for air defense—are having an effect, because after that it becomes possible to carry out such successful attacks,” Oleksandr Musiienko emphasized.
