Trump and Netanyahu Against Khamenei: An Expert Assesses How the Protests in Iran Will End

iran

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman said that this year Trump will definitely try to change the government in Cuba, and that in the other hemisphere Israel will join the protests in Iran, Politeka reports.

He spoke about this on his blog.

According to the expert, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will likely decide to help the people of Iran. Until October 27, he explains, parliamentary elections must be held in Israel, and if Netanyahu carries out a revolution in Iran today, then tomorrow he will be able to call early elections and win, securing power for another four years.

“This is an excellent chance for him. And Netanyahu, apparently, will not miss this chance. I think he will break Trump, persuade him. It’s no coincidence that Netanyahu flew before the New Year to persuade Trump to finally finish off Iran. So I don’t know whether Trump will decide, but it seems to me that Netanyahu will decide, and then we will see how Trump joins him, just as he joined this missile war against the nuclear potential,” Mikhail Sheitelman explains.

Another important point, he says, is Cuba as a symbol of U.S. defeat. Moreover, the expert notes, this is currently the weakest link: you can’t so easily fight Mexico, nor Colombia—there is a huge population there and guerrillas everywhere—while Cuba is a poor country. Although Cubans fight all over the world, they have nothing to eat. In addition, he adds, Trump doesn’t necessarily need to seize Cuba by military means; there are many ways to change the government there.

“And Trump went after Cuba. He said that Cuba used to live off Venezuelan oil and Venezuela’s petrochemical industry, and he will no longer allow this, so he will declare a blockade and gradually strangle Cuba; the власти there will change. Cuba has already responded. But I believe the next target is Cuba. Iran is a separate story. I mean that in the U.S. hemisphere the next target is not Greenland, but Cuba. Trump will try to do something with it this year,” Mikhail Sheitelman asserts.
