This will be the most disgraceful war in U.S. history, expert says about the seizure of Greenland

Trump

Political strategist Mykhailo Sheitelman explained that Trump and his administration, when it comes to Greenland, are speaking Putin’s language — only instead of “Kyiv in three days,” they have “defense consisting of two dog sleds,” Politeka reports.

He said this on his blog.

According to the expert, Trump continues to circle around Greenland, and Ukraine, in a sense, is also Greenland. Not because, he explains, we have a lot of mineral resources — in that sense Ukraine is not El Dorado, and extraction is expensive and difficult, just as it is in Greenland — and not because we’re covered in snow, but because there is also a political meaning to it.

“If the U.S. doesn’t take Greenland for itself, Trump said, then Russia will do it. For some reason, I find this thesis hard to believe. How can Russia seize Greenland? With what? By what means? How does he even imagine this? Does he know where Russia is and where Greenland is? Russian military planes will presumably fly over Canada to Greenland, and there they’ll roll out a red carpet for them to land. How can Russia seize Greenland? To fantasize to that extent… You’d have to live in a world of some kind of unreal fantasies, it seems to me,” Mykhailo Sheitelman explains.

According to him, if one poses the question that way, then one could tell Trump that if the U.S. doesn’t take Ukraine for itself, then Russia will do it — therefore American troops should be sent in. He goes on to say that Trump then declared that the Danes simply landed in Greenland 500 years ago, but the land does not belong to them; his special envoy even said that the U.S. defended Greenland during World War II, while Denmark occupied it bypassing the UN, and therefore Greenlanders should treat the United States with hospitality. That is, he explains, these are the same Rurikids, just seen from another angle — soon they’ll start saying that it was all Khrushchev’s mistake, that ancient Americans lived in Greenland, and so on. In other words, it is pure Putinism.

“The defense of Greenland consists of two dog sleds, Trump stated. That’s ‘Kyiv in three days.’ You know, dear Mr. Trump, those dogs bite. You may only bark, but they will bite. It seems to me that the Danish army, out of principle, will turn into Finnish jägers, retreat into the mountains and shoot Americans for dinner if they come in. Americans will get lost there — they’re used to fighting in comfort, while Greenland has harsh northern conditions, just like Denmark. And who said the Americans can handle that? The Russians couldn’t handle Ukraine, the USSR couldn’t handle Finland. Something tells me this would be the most disgraceful war in U.S. history,” Mykhailo Sheitelman concluded.
